First time is the charm?
I just made my FIRST submission for a poster presentation at a conference.
Things I've learned:
1) Of course there will be a server issue for 4 hours and I won't receive valuable feedback via email and I will not know about said server and will stay at the computer for FOUR HOURS hitting refresh every 2.3 minutes.
2) I absolutely have to buy that F'ing SP$$ statistics software to avoid the completely horrific feeling of not knowing what I'm writing about. Seriously - it's beyond frustrating in a zone of incapacity I haven't experienced in a very long time.
3) I also need to catalogue my lit review articles better. And I need to start summarizing more of them - flipping through 700 pages of poorly marked copies is an efficient procrastination technique, though not a favored one of mine.
4) Going to bed at 2 am two nights in a row is not as cool as it used to be when I was 13.
5) Vegan chicken salad is mighty tasty. You get all the spicy mayo tastiness without the dried up old crusty chicken factor. Hail the almighty soy product! Just add crackers.
6) I need an actual office area and desk. I've been sitting wrapped up in blankets with a heating pad to stay warm and limber. Damn gorgeous yet drafty windows.
Time for sleep. Sweet, blessed sleep.
